When you download the Aeroplan Shopping Button and log in with your Aeroplan account information, Aeroplan will collect information about your browsing on the Aeroplan eStore as well as on the websites of our participating partners, including the purchases you make. We also collect data about your device’s unique ID, your browser type, your IP address, and general location.

When you make a purchase on a website of one of Aeroplan’s participating partners, the Aeroplan Shopping Button lets us know the product(s) purchased, the date, price, and any additional information you may have provided. We use this information to credit your Aeroplan account with the points for the purchase, as well as to analyze your preferences and interests so we can provide you more personalized opportunities to earn and redeem points. When you browse Aeroplan’s participating partner websites, the Aeroplan Shopping Button records the webpages you visit and your shopping history in the local storage of your device. When you log out of the Aeroplan Shopping Button, your browsing is no longer tracked, and data previously stored by the Shopping Button on your device is deleted. If you chose to delete the Aeroplan Shopping button, any data it stored on your device will also be deleted but we will retain any information already collected by us from the Shopping Button. 

We may use the Aeroplan Shopping Button to send you offers about accumulation and redemption opportunities, benefits, products and services related to Aeroplan and our partners that are most likely of interest to you.
